DIY Gift Tags & Wrapping Ideas

As Christmas is fast approaching (6 more sleeps ah!), and I was just wrapping my presents, I thought I'd share with you how I like to wrap to give you a little inspiration. This year I've had a little more time to wrap, and so my gift wrap includes a little bit of DIY. The best way to keep your presents looking cohesive is to pick a few types of paper and mix them up. I've just gone for the traditional silver, gold and red, as well as red and white dots to bring in some pattern, and parcel paper, well just because I love it. As the parcel paper is quite minimal, I have used strips of the coloured paper to wrap around a small section. It just makes it look a little more festive.
I have gone full out DIY with the gift tags. For the smaller presents, I used a bunting idea. I just printed out each letter onto a separate triangle, and folded them around the jute string. It's a very quick idea, but very affective. For something a little more time consuming, I cut out felt letters, and decorated it with felt and sequinned hollies. It's these little things that make presents feel just that extra bit special.
I hope this has given you a little inspiration. Let me know in the comments below how you'll be decorating your presents this year.
